Lalang-linggah Travel Guide

Lalang-linggah is a quiet village to the west of Denpasar in the west of Bali. It resides on the main coastal highway and is known for its nice resorts and big surf at nearby Balian Beach.

This area is a rocky part of Bali and comes with black volcanic and golden sands. There are several posh hotel/resorts out this way, including the much ballyhooed Gajah Mina sitting up on a headland.

Balian Beach is not far from Lalang-linggah and is the main attraction in the region, especially for surfers. It’s about 50kms from Kuta and has a small village setting with palms all around. The surf here is on par with that of Kuta, yet is much less crowded.

Getting There & Away

Lalang-linggah is near the town of Suraberata on the main coastal highway, around 50kms from Kuta and a 90-minute drive from Denpasar. Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport is 45kms from Lalang-linggah and receives flights from Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Jakarta, as well as direct from Australia.
