Port of Labuhan Lalang Historical Site

Labuhan Lalang is a quiet spot on the extreme northwest coast of Bali, well suited to travellers after a calmer base and to divers, though it is a long haul for a day trip from the main southern beaches.

A long jetty and a small marina are stocked with boats running out to the reefs of nearby Menjangan Island, and the setting, on the sea with the mountains of West Bali National Park rising behind, is idyllic enough to have drawn a number of luxury resorts. Close to the jetty there is also a mangrove forest to explore, along with a temple and a coffee shop. The road in is rough, and it is a fair journey from Kuta and Denpasar.
