Hat Nai Thon
Historical Site Secluded sandy beach on Phuket's northwest coast
Nai Thon Beach in northwest Phuket features a long sandy bay, snorkeling and gentle surf. Small resorts and beachfront restaurants attract visitors seeking quieter sunsets away from busier Phuket towns.
Hat Nai Thon is the beach known locally as Nai Thon on the northwest coast of Phuket, Thailand. It is a relatively small, sheltered bay with a coastline fronting a compact village and low-rise resorts.
The beach offers a single continuous stretch of sand with resort facilities and small businesses immediately inland; it is used for swimming and relaxation rather than heavy commercial activity. The setting is generally quieter than many of Phuket’s major tourist beaches.
The settlement grew from local fishing and small-scale coastal use into a modest resort area during recent decades as Phuket’s tourism expanded. Infrastructure development has remained limited compared with larger resort hubs on the island.
It sits on Phuket island’s northwest shoreline, within reach of the island’s road network and service centres.
- Character: Lies on Phuket's northwest coast and is commonly described as a quieter, less-developed alternative to the island's larger resort beaches.
- Facilities: Small local village and a strip of resort accommodation sit immediately behind the sand.
