Poctoy Travel Guide

Surrounded by nature, most people travel to Poctoy to spend time on the stunningly beautiful Poctoy White Beach, with its fine white sand and crystal clear water.

Although this beach is intensely beautiful, there’s not really much else to see or do in the area and most people just spend a few hours here before moving on. However, there are a few good places to stay and reasonably priced restaurants if you decide to spend a few days in Poctoy.

Accommodation in Poctoy tends to be rather overpriced so many people prefer to stay in the neighboring city of Marinduque, which is just a 40-minute drive away. Boac is just 20 minutes away, and there are also plenty of good places to stay here and pretty scenery to gaze at.

Getting There & Away

Poctoy is best reached from Marinduque, which is a 40-minute jeepney ride away. Marinduque has its own airport and there are regular flights from Manila (40 minutes). Ferries also call in at Marinduque port from places such as Lucena City, Luzon, Balanacan Port, Cawit Port and Buyabod Port.
