Tay Ninh Province Travel Guide

About an hour by bus from Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province is situated in southwestern Vietnam. The eastern border of the province is formed by the Saigon river while the Vam Co river from Cambodia flows through the western part of Tay Ninh. The magnificent Black Lady Mountain is a dominant natural landmark in the area.

The Cao Dai temple in the provincial capital is the most remarkable sight in the province, due to its interesting mix of Western and Eastern religions as well as its bizarre color scheme. After a visit to the temple, visitors usually head to the nearby Cu Chi Tunnels for exploration.

Tay Ninh features good facilities for visitors. There are tram services to the temple and chair lifts that cater to those wishing to go up the Black Lady Mountain. A number of accommodations and restaurants are scattered around the city, which is about 99kms (60 miles) from Ho Chi Minh City.
