Mondulkiri Province Travel Guide

Both the largest and most sparsely populated province in Cambodia, Mondulkiri sits in the east of the country and lures tourists with its unspoiled natural attractions and ethnic hill tribes. The provincial capital, Senmonorom, is a convenient base for trips into Mondulkiri’s forested hills, where untouched nature and traditional villages can be admired.

Highlights of the province include the two-tier Bou Sra waterfall, 43kms (27 miles) from Senmonorom and accessible by road in the dry season, and the Senmonorom waterfall, just five kilometers (three miles) from the provincial capital. Trekking and elephant rides through the forest are also popular.

Infrastructure in the province is limited with travelling by local bus being the best way to get here. Accommodation mainly consists of basic home stay options.
