How to Get to Żabbar
Żabbar is easily reached from Malta International Airport (MLA) by taxi or the island's bus network. With no rail service on Malta, public buses and taxis are the standard ways to arrive and move between towns.
Malta International Airport (MLA): Malta’s single airport is the arrival point for Żabbar. From the airport you can take a taxi directly to Żabbar in about 15-25 minutes; typical taxi fares are around €15-€25 depending on time of day. You can also use the scheduled bus network via Valletta or direct routes (see below).
(No other passenger airports): Malta has a single main airport (MLA). All international arrivals into Malta go through MLA and continue by road or public bus to destinations around the island.
Train: Malta has no national rail network.
Bus: Malta Public Transport runs routes connecting the airport, Valletta and towns across the island. From Valletta or the airport you can catch buses to Żabbar (routes and direct services vary by timetable). A single journey fare is typically €2.00 (cheaper with a Tallinja card), and travel time from Valletta or the airport to Żabbar is about 15-30 minutes depending on route and stops.

Żabbar is a compact Maltese town and its centre is very walkable for visiting churches, cafés and local shops. It’s served by Malta Public Transport buses that link Żabbar with Valletta, Marsaskala and other towns; buses are the main public option. Taxis and rented cars are useful for wider exploration.
