How to Get to Paola
Paola is a short drive from Malta International Airport and is well connected by Malta's public bus network. Buses are the economical and practical way to move around the island.
Malta International Airport (MLA): Malta’s only international airport (MLA) is the main entry point for Paola. From MLA you can take a taxi (about 10-20 minutes depending on traffic) or a bus to Valletta and then a local bus to Paola.
No other commercial airports: All scheduled arrivals to Malta use MLA; onward travel on the island is by road and bus services.
Train: Malta does not have a train network.
Bus: Paola is well served by Malta Public Transport buses, with frequent connections to Valletta, Birzebbuga and the airport area. Journey times are short from the airport and central Valletta; fares are bought via the Tallinja app or on board where allowed.
