Showers still arrive from Atlantic systems, keeping the olive groves damp and paths greasy; rural roads can be churned after storms. Wildflowers are only just starting to speckle the hillsides, and crowds are minimal - great for photography but pack layers and waterproofs.

February mornings still bite with chill, though sunny spells lengthen and the city shows early spring energy in sheltered courtyards. Rainfall remains a regular feature, so sightseeing around the old town or a day trip to Madaba’s mosaics will require an umbrella and sticky-soled shoes for wet Byzantine stones. This is a quieter month for visitors - useful if you prefer museums and cafés to crowds.
February in the Jordan Valley leans into a mild, pleasant rhythm with daytime temperatures rising toward the low to mid-twenties and many sunny hours. Storms still occur and heavy rain can make the otherwise arid landscape smell sharply of dust-turned-earth; the beach areas around the Dead Sea are quieter, making spa hotels appealing.
