Hat Noppharat Thara
Beach Long sandy beach bordering a marine national park
Ao Nang’s long public beach near Krabi town; a departure point for longtail boats to the Phi Phi and Hong islands, with seafront restaurants and tour operators.
Hat Noppharat Thara is the wide sandy beach and foreshore area serving the Ao Nang coast in Krabi province, southern Thailand. The beach is part of the coastal zone associated with the Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park and functions as a low-rise tourist and recreational strip.
The shoreline provides extensive sand at low tide and a sheltered landing point for longtail boats and ferries serving adjacent islands. The adjacent park waters and islands attract day trips, snorkeling, and beach excursions from Ao Nang and Krabi Town.
The beach and park were designated to protect coastal and island marine habitats while supporting tourism infrastructure in the Ao Nang area. Over time the area has been used increasingly for day trips to offshore islands and as a recreational beach for local and visiting families.
Hat Noppharat Thara sits on the Andaman Sea coast of Krabi province, immediately west of the Ao Nang settlement and within easy road distance of Krabi Town. The beach faces a chain of small islands that are common destinations for boat tours.
- Access to islands: Located immediately adjacent to Ao Nang, it provides a long, sheltered sandy foreshore and is used as a launching area for longtail boats to nearby islands including those in the Phi Phi group.
- Protected area: Managed as part of the Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, the shoreline and nearby small islands are subject to national park rules and fees for some activities.

- Use the main Ao Nang/Noppharat Thara access off the coastal road - it's the usual landing point for beachgoers and boat operators that serve nearby islands.
- Walk toward the western end of the beach for quieter stretches and easier access to longtail boats heading to nearby islets; many visitors stay near the central strip and miss the calmer ends.
