Ubud Palace (Puri Saren Agung) is the historic royal palace complex in the centre of Ubud, Bali, and serves as the ceremonial seat of the Ubud royal family. The complex dates from the 19th century and retains traditional Balinese architectural features.
Visitors come to see the carved pavilions, inner courtyards and ornamental gardens and to attend nightly Balinese dance and music performances staged at the palace. The palace buildings and courtyards are compact and arranged around open performance spaces.
Puri Saren Agung was the residence and ceremonial centre of the Ubud raja (royal family) and has remained an active cultural focal point through the 19th and 20th centuries as Ubud developed as an arts centre. The palace buildings have been maintained and adapted for public performances and visits.
The palace sits in central Ubud immediately beside the Ubud Market and Monkey Forest Road, in Gianyar Regency, Bali, roughly 30 km north of Denpasar by road.

How to Get to Ubud Palace #
Ubud Palace is in central Ubud, a short walk from the Ubud Monkey Forest and the main market. From Ubud bus stops or taxi stands, it is a 5-10 minute walk along Jalan Raya Ubud.

- Arrive before dusk to see the palace courtyard and then stay for a traditional Legong or Kecak performance in the evening.
- Respect dress norms when entering ceremonial areas; a sarong and sash are often required for some sections during ceremonies.
