How to Get to Talparo
Talparo in Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo is reached via Piarco International Airport (POS) followed by road travel. There's no intercity rail - buses and maxi-taxis or private cars are the practical options for the final leg.
Piarco International Airport (POS): The main international airport for Trinidad (Piarco) serves the greater Port of Spain area and is the primary gateway for reaching Talparo. From Piarco you can hire a taxi or rent a car and drive west toward Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo; travel time to Talparo varies but is typically around 45-75 minutes by road depending on traffic.
Aeronáutica / Regional Airports: There are smaller airfields in Trinidad for private or charter flights but Piarco is the standard arrival airport for international travelers to central/northern Trinidad.
Train: Trinidad has no national passenger rail service for intercity travel, so trains are not a travel option to Talparo.
Bus / Maxi-taxi: Public buses and maxi-taxis operate across Trinidad; to reach Talparo you can take a bus or maxi-taxi from Port of Spain or Central Bus Terminus toward Chaguanas/Couva and then local connections toward Talparo. Fares are low (a few TTD) but services may require transfers and can be slower than driving; journey time from Port of Spain is typically 60-90 minutes depending on route and traffic.
