Svay Rieng Province Travel Guide
Despite being linked to Phnom Penh and Vietnam by highway, Svay Rieng is a peaceful province and one of the smallest and poorest in the country. The international gateway of Bavet leads to Vietnam and hosts a lively marketplace.
The capital of the province, Svay Rieng city, is a pretty and quiet town with riverside drink and food stalls on the shores of the Vai Kou river. It is a good overnight stop. The province has few tourist attractions, with the Prey Ba Sak area and Prasat Prasat temple among the most noteworthy.
