About Prey Ba Sak

Prey Ba Sak sits on a scenic hillside in Svay Rieng District, about 8.5 km south-east of Svay Rieng town, and centres on the remains of an ancient temple. The ruins were largely destroyed during the wars of the 20th century, and little now survives of the original structure.

Given the wealth of far more spectacular ruins elsewhere in Cambodia, the site is a modest attraction, but for anyone in Svay Rieng wanting a breath of countryside the hilltop makes a pleasant, easy excursion.
