Mahé - Victoria, Beau Vallon and West Coast

November’s warmth is pronounced and humidity pushes higher, with peak temperatures near 30-31°C during the daytime and sticky nights. The northwest winds begin to influence sea state, and some west and north-facing beaches may experience rougher water, affecting swimming and some ferry services. Creole restaurants and markets remain good shelter during sudden downpours; carry a light waterproof and be prepared for brief but intense thunderstorms.

Mahé Highlands - Morne Seychellois and upland trails

Wet, heavy air returns to the highlands in November and the forest becomes damp and lush with renewed growth; temperatures remain mild but the trail conditions can be challenging after persistent rain. Birdlife is active but undergrowth will be denser, and some lesser-used tracks can be overgrown or waterlogged. Local guides can advise on safe route choices; bring a waterproof bag, sturdy ankle-support boots and expect slower progress on muddy ascents.

Praslin & La Digue - Inner granitic islands and beaches

November brings warm, humid days and a rise in shower frequency as the northwest monsoon builds; Praslin and La Digue can be interrupted by heavy, short-lived rainstorms.
