How to Get to Ormideia
Ormideia is a small village east of Larnaca and is most easily reached from Larnaca International Airport by taxi or regional bus. Cyprus has no railways, so road transport (bus, taxi, car hire) is the standard way to get around.
Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Larnaca is the closest international airport for Ormideia (Larnaca District). The airport is about a 20-35 minute drive from Ormideia depending on traffic; taxis cost roughly €15-€30 and airport transfers are widely available.
Paphos International Airport (PFO): Paphos is further away (roughly 1.5-2 hours’ drive) and is only a practical option if you plan to rent a car and cross the island.
Train: Cyprus has no national rail network, so trains are not an option.
Bus: Intercity and local bus services connect Larnaca to villages across the district; from Larnaca bus terminal you can catch regional buses or a short taxi to Ormideia. Local bus fares within Larnaca district are modest (typically a few euros) and the trip from Larnaca city to Ormideia usually takes under an hour depending on routing.
How to Get Around Ormideia #
Ormideia is a small Cypriot village where most daily errands are doable on foot. The best way to get around is by car; that offers maximum flexibility for visiting nearby Larnaca and other coastal areas.
There are some scheduled buses serving the Larnaca district but services can be limited, especially off-peak. Taxis are available but can be relatively expensive for longer trips, so plan transfers in advance.
