The Church of Saint Lazarus in Larnaca is an Orthodox church built over the traditional tomb of Lazarus, a New Testament figure whom Christian tradition holds was raised from the dead by Jesus. The original church at the site dates to the early medieval period; the present building reflects later reconstructions and renovations.

Inside the church visitors can see the stone tomb associated with Lazarus and a collection of icons and liturgical objects; the site remains an active parish and pilgrimage destination. The structure combines Byzantine and later architectural elements following repairs and additions made over several centuries.

The foundation of a church on the tomb site is traditionally attributed to the Byzantine period in the 9th century, and the building has undergone significant rebuilding and restoration since that time. It has long been a central element of Larnaca’s religious and civic identity.

The church sits in Larnaca’s historic town center, within short walking distance of the seafront promenade and main urban amenities in Larnaca District.

Agios Lazaros (Church of Saint Lazarus) is in the centre of Larnaca, a short walk from the Finikoudes promenade and the main seafront. From Larnaca’s central bus station the church is about a 5-10 minute walk; by car it is in the town centre and reached via the main coastal approach road from Larnaca International Airport (the airport is a short 10-15 minute drive into town).

• Go early on weekdays, especially outside common cruise-ship docking times - Larnaca is a cruise port and the church's small courtyard fills quickly when ships unload passengers.
• Enter from the main square (Agios Lazaros/Church yard) to reach the church interior and crypt directly; allow time to descend to the tomb area, which many visitors rush past.
• Check for morning liturgy times if you want to experience the church during service - attending a service gives access to parts of the church and atmosphere that aren't as noticeable during a quick tourist visit.
