How to Get to Pyla
Pyla is located between Larnaca and Nicosia and is easiest reached via Larnaca Airport by taxi or a combination of intercity bus to Nicosia and a short local taxi. Public buses serve the corridor but direct services to Pyla can be limited.
Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Larnaca is the closest major international airport (approx. 15-25 km from Pyla depending on route). Taxis from LCA to Pyla typically take 20-35 minutes; expect fares around €20-35.
Paphos Airport (PFO): Paphos is farther away (approx. 1.5-2 hours by road) and less convenient for Pyla-useful only if you plan to combine travel around western Cyprus.
Train: Cyprus does not have an active railway system.
Bus: Intercity buses run between Larnaca and Nicosia; from the Larnaca-Nicosia corridor local buses or taxis serve Pyla (Pyla sits between Larnaca and Nicosia). Buses are inexpensive but may not stop directly in the village centre-expect short additional taxi rides for door‑to‑door service.

Pyla is a small village that’s easy to explore on foot, especially around the beachfront and the local square. Roads to Larnaca are straightforward and short by car. Local bus services connect Pyla with Larnaca and other coastal towns; timings are fairly regular but a car gives the most freedom for exploring the area.
