How to Get to Metro

Metro (Lampung) is reached primarily by road from Bandar Lampung's Radin Inten II (TKG) airport or via intercity bus links into Lampung province. Local angkot, motorbike taxi and car transfers are the most practical ways to move around once you arrive.

By Air

Radin Inten II Airport (TKG): Bandar Lampung’s Radin Inten II (TKG) is the closest commercial airport to Metro (Lampung). By road the journey to Metro city centre typically takes around 45-75 minutes depending on traffic; taxis or airport transfer cars usually cost IDR 150,000-350,000.

Soekarno-Hatta (CGK): For more international options fly into Jakarta (CGK) and continue by a domestic flight to TKG or by long‑distance bus/overland transport to Lampung, which is much longer and involves ferry crossings.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no direct intercity passenger rail service to Metro; Java’s main intercity rail lines do not extend into southern Lampung in a way that serves the town.

Bus: Long‑distance buses and shuttle services connect Metro to Bandar Lampung (Terminal Rajabasa) and other Lampung towns. Local microbuses (angkot) and intercity buses run frequent short routes; fares are low (typically IDR 5,000-30,000 for local journeys).

There are also independent shops and small malls for everyday items. For specialty products you’ll usually need to visit larger cities in Lampung province.
