How to Get to Kalsoy
Ferry service runs from Klaksvík (main island of Streymoy) to Syðradalur on Kalsoy - timetables are seasonal and weather-dependent. From Syðradalur the road and marked trails lead north to the Kallur Lighthouse (approximately 45-75 minutes’ walk depending on the route and conditions).
Tips for Visiting Kalsoy
- Take the ferry from Klaksvík to Syðradalur; check timetables - sailings are seasonal and weather-dependent.
- Walk the unpaved trails to Kallur Lighthouse for the classic photo; the final cliff approach is exposed and muddy after rain.
