Concepción de Ataco in Ahuachapán Department is reached overland from San Salvador (SAL airport) by shuttle, bus or private car. There is no passenger rail service - buses and tourist shuttles on the Ruta de las Flores are the usual connections.

Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport (SAL): San Salvador’s main international airport (SAL) is the primary air gateway for Concepción de Ataco. From SAL you can take a shuttle or private taxi to Ahuachapán department, then a local bus or taxi onward to Ataco; total travel time is about 1.5-2.5 hours depending on traffic and connections.

Local / Domestic flights: There are no regular domestic flights that serve Ataco directly; overland travel from SAL or San Salvador is the standard approach.
