Bu Gia Map National Park

Bu Gia Map National Park is a protected area in Dong Nai province in southern Vietnam established to conserve lowland tropical forest and associated biodiversity. The park is known regionally for its relatively intact forest and wildlife values within the southern highlands and lowland transition zone.

Visitors go for guided wildlife viewing, trekking on forest trails, and to see forest types that differ from lowland plantations in surrounding areas; tourism is generally low-key and often arranged through local guides. Infrastructure is limited compared with large national parks, and visits are typically focused on nature observation and controlled ecotourism.

The park was created to protect remaining areas of natural forest and to provide a managed framework for conservation and research; management includes patrols and habitat protection to reduce illegal logging and hunting. Local communities are involved in some conservation and tourism activities.

Geographically the park lies in Dong Nai province in southern Vietnam, inland from the coastal plain and within a landscape of hills and forested plateaus; the nearest major urban center is Ho Chi Minh City to the southwest by road.
