For those after a tranquil, clean stretch of coast away from the crowds, Angkaul Beach is ideal. A picturesque 1.5 km strip of white sand just 10 km from Kep, it feels a world away, with the islands of Koh Kok, Koh Svay and Koh Tbal lying offshore.
The beach sits amid salt “farms”, where a number of Cambodian families make salt from seawater in large, open fields.
