How to Get to Vievis
Vievis is easiest reached via Vilnius - Vilnius Airport (VNO) is the closest international airport and Vilnius railway/bus stations provide frequent regional connections. For most visitors the fastest route is flight into Vilnius, then a short road transfer to Vievis.
Vilnius Airport (VNO): Vilnius Airport is the closest major airport (about 30-35 km east of Vievis). From VNO you can take the airport bus to Vilnius city centre (buy a ticket for ~€1.50-€2; 20-25 min to the centre) and then a regional bus or taxi to Vievis (regional bus ~€2-3, 35-45 min from Vilnius centre; taxi from Vilnius centre to Vievis ~€25-35, ~30-40 min).
Kaunas Airport (KUN): Kaunas Airport is further away (about 65-75 km). There are direct coaches from KUN to Kaunas city and to Vilnius; expect coach + regional connection to Vievis to take ~1-1.5 hours in total. Coach to Vilnius typically costs ~€6-8, then add the regional link to Vievis (see above).
Train: The nearest major rail hub is Vilnius railway station (Vilnius stotis). Intercity and regional trains serve Vilnius; from Vilnius you can catch local buses toward Vievis. Trains to Vilnius from elsewhere in Lithuania typically cost €2-€10 depending on distance; the onward connection to Vievis is by bus (35-45 min).
Bus: Regional buses run from Vilnius Bus Station (Autobusų stotis) to Vievis several times a day. Typical one-way fares are modest - around €1.50-€3 - and travel time from Vilnius is about 35-45 minutes.
