Simnas is a small town in southern Lithuania best reached by bus from Vilnius or Alytus; rail options are limited in this part of the country. If you need flexibility, consider driving from Vilnius or arranging a transfer from Alytus.

By Air

Vilnius Airport (VNO): Simnas in Alytus County is usually reached via Vilnius Airport. From VNO take a bus or taxi to Vilnius city centre (20-30 min, fares ~€1.50-€10 depending on service) then an intercity bus toward Alytus; from Alytus catch a local bus or taxi to Simnas (Alytus to Simnas ~30-40 min). Intercity bus fares in Lithuania are modest (a few euros to €10-€15 depending on distance).

Kaunas Airport (KUN): Kaunas is an alternative for budget flights; from KUN travel into Kaunas city and then use intercity buses/trains toward Alytus and onward to Simnas-this usually requires at least one transfer and longer travel time than via Vilnius.

By Train & Bus
