How to Get to San Pa Tong#
San Pa Tong is a district south of Chiang Mai city. Fly into Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) or arrive by train/bus to Chiang Mai and then take a taxi, Grab or local bus/minivan for the short onward trip to San Pa Tong.
Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX): CNX is the nearest airport for San Pa Tong. From CNX take a taxi or Grab to San Pa Tong (about 20-40 minutes depending on traffic). Domestic flights to CNX arrive from Bangkok and other Thai cities.
Alternate routes: If arriving into Bangkok, take a domestic flight to Chiang Mai (about 1h15) then continue by taxi/Grab or regional bus to San Pa Tong.
Train: Chiang Mai is the northern terminus of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). Trains from Bangkok arrive at Chiang Mai station; San Pa Tong does not have a major intercity station, so travel from Chiang Mai station to San Pa Tong is by local taxi or bus (approx. 20-40 min).
