Doha & the Eastern Coast (The Corniche, The Pearl, Katara)
Mild, dry days and cool nights define late autumn here - daytime highs around 24-26°C and nights dipping to the mid-teens - perfect for exploring Doha’s outdoor attractions. The Corniche and museum promenades are busy with both tourists and locals, and kayaks in the mangroves are pleasant to launch; a light sweater will be useful after sunset. This period sees fewer travel disruptions and the best overall balance for city and coastal sightseeing.
Northern Coast & Al Khor (Al Khor, Ras Rakan, Al Thakhira)
Late-autumn mornings can be cool and breezy with highs in the low-to-mid 20s and nights dipping close to 12-14°C; the migratory bird numbers start increasing again. Drier air means clear skies and usable daylight for photography and longer coastal walks; the northern towns are lively on weekends. A medium-weight layer will make early mornings and evenings comfortable, and the mangroves are excellent for calm kayaking.
Western Coast & Dukhan Dunes (Dukhan, Ras Abrouq/Buq, Zekreet)
Late-autumn mornings are cool and usually windless, with daytime temperatures in the low 20s - excellent for long walks among limestone cliffs and for beachcombing near Dukhan. Occasional rain can freshen the landscape and make short-term desert wildflowers appear, improving colors for photographers. Layers are wise for dawn and dusk, and weekend spots fill as locals head west for short trips.
Southern Coast, Mesaieed & Khor Al Adaid (Al Wakrah, Mesaieed, Sealine)
Late-autumn mornings are crisp and the weather turns very pleasant with daytime highs in the mid-20s; the Inland Sea’s lagoons are calm and ideal for kayaking or motorboat tours. Migratory birds begin to reappear at nearby wetlands, improving wildlife-spotting opportunities. Cool nights make camping comfortable; bring a warm layer for the early morning hours.
Central Interior & Sand Dunes (Sealine-Inland Desert, central plateau)
Late-autumn mornings are cool and invigorating with daytime highs in the low-to-mid 20s - perfect for multi-day desert expeditions and camel treks. The dunes hold less heat after sunset, improving sleep quality in camps and making sunrise shoots spectacular. A windproof outer layer is useful for early starts and for sheltering against occasional shamal gusts.
