How to Get to Odrie
Odrie is a small settlement in Gjirokastër County, southern Albania. Access is normally by road from Tirana or nearby Greek cities; buses and private cars/taxis are the practical choices for the final leg.
Tirana International Airport (TIA): Tirana is Albania’s main international airport. From Tirana you can travel by bus or car toward Gjirokastër County; journeys to southern Gjirokastër-area towns typically take several hours.
Ioannina National Airport (IOA) (Greece): For some travellers it can be closer to use Ioannina (Greece) and continue by road to Gjirokastër; cross-border travel requires appropriate documentation and may involve longer overland transfers.
Train: Albania’s passenger rail network is very limited and unreliable for tourist travel to Gjirokastër region.
Bus: Intercity buses and minibuses run from Tirana and regional centres to Gjirokastër; from Gjirokastër town local buses or taxis connect to smaller settlements such as Odrie. Bus timetables can be seasonal; check local stations for current times and fares.
