Nynäshamn is part of greater Stockholm's public-transport network and is reached by SL commuter train (Nynäsbanan) from central Stockholm. It's also the mainland ferry port for Gotland, making it a transport hub for both rail and sea travel.

By Air

Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN): Arlanda is Stockholm’s main international airport. From ARN take an SJ/SL train or bus to Stockholm city centre (20-40 minutes) and then the SL commuter rail (pendeltåg) to Nynäshamn; total travel time from Arlanda to Nynäshamn is around 1.5-2 hours depending on connections.

Bromma / Skavsta airports: Bromma (BMA) is closer to central Stockholm, while Skavsta (NYO) serves low-cost carriers farther south-both require onward rail/bus travel to Stockholm and then the commuter rail to Nynäshamn.

By Train & Bus

Train (SL pendeltåg): Nynäshamn is served by the Nynäsbanan commuter rail (pendeltåg) from Stockholm City (via Västra Skogen or Älvsjö depending on routing). The direct commuter train from Stockholm takes about 1 hour and SL single fares apply (buy via SL app or machines).
