How to Get to Misere

Misere (on Mahé) is approached via Seychelles International Airport with onward connections from Victoria. Taxis, buses and rental cars provide the primary local transport options.

By Air

Seychelles International Airport (SEZ): The island’s international airport on Mahé, serving Misere and other Grand’Anse areas. Taxi transfer to central Mahé towns usually takes 20-40 minutes; expect around 250-350 SCR (≈US$18-25) for a direct taxi to Victoria-area drop-offs. Shared transfers provide cheaper alternatives with longer travel times.

(No other international airports on Mahé): Use ferries or domestic flights for access to other islands.

By Train & Bus

Train: No passenger rail exists in Seychelles.

Bus: Mahé’s bus network runs from Victoria and serves Grand’Anse and neighbouring areas. Fares are modest (commonly 7-15 SCR) and buses are the main daytime public transport option for residents and visitors.

How to Get Around Misere #

Misere (Grand’Anse, Mahé) is compact and largely walkable between the beach and nearby amenities. The island bus network serves the area and taxis or rented vehicles are useful for exploring other parts of Mahé. Roads can be narrow and hilly; allow extra travel time.
