How to Get to Maliq

Maliq is best reached by road from Tirana (TIA) via intercity bus or private minibus to nearby Korçë, then a short local transfer. There is no practical passenger rail access.

By Air

Tirana Nënë Tereza International Airport (TIA): The main international gateway for Maliq. From Tirana, intercity buses (and shared minibuses called furgons) run to Korçë; the bus trip takes about 3.5-4 hours. Expect bus fares around ALL 700-1,200 (roughly €6-10). From Korçë take a short taxi or local bus to Maliq (20-40 minutes).

Ioannina/Korçë (no regular international service): There are no reliable scheduled international flights directly into Korçë; travellers typically fly to Tirana (TIA) or to neighboring-country airports and continue by road.

By Train & Bus

Train: Albania’s passenger rail network is very limited and there are no regular passenger trains serving Maliq. Rail is not a practical option for this route.

Bus: Intercity buses and private minibuses (furgons) are the standard way to reach Maliq. Main departures are from Tirana’s bus terminal toward Korçë; journey times are about 3.5-4 hours to Korçë, then local connections or taxi to Maliq.
