How to Get to Little Belize

Little Belize is a small, primarily rural community in Corozal District; the main international gateway is Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) near Belize City, with Chetumal (CTM) across the Mexican border as an alternate. There is no rail service - overland buses, minibuses and private transfers are the standard ways to reach Little Belize from airports and Belize City.

By Air

Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE): The main international airport for Belize, near Ladyville outside Belize City. From BZE you can take airport shuttles or taxis into Belize City (around 30-45 minutes); taxis typically cost in the range of BZ$25-40 (approx. USD 12.50-20). From Belize City onward there are minibuses and regular buses north to Corozal District; travel to Corozal town takes roughly 2.5-3 hours by road.

Chetumal International Airport (CTM): Located across the border in Chetumal, Mexico, this airport is often used when travelling to northern Belize. From CTM to Corozal is about a 45-60 minute drive (plus border crossing time); taxis and private transfers are common - expect variable fares around MXN 300-600 (prices vary) and allow extra time for immigration procedures.

By Train & Bus

Train: Belize has no intercity passenger rail services; trains are not a travel option.

Bus: Long-distance buses and minibuses connect Belize City with Corozal District via the Northern Highway. Public buses from Belize City to Corozal typically take 2.5-3 hours; ticket prices are modest (a few Belize dollars) for local services, while private shuttle vans run faster for higher fares.
