How to Get to Līgatne

Līgatne is a small town north of Riga known for its nature reserve and caves. Most visitors arrive via Riga (RIX) and then use regional trains or buses to reach Līgatne; travel is straightforward and inexpensive.

By Air

Riga International Airport (RIX): Latvia’s main international airport, about 50-60 km from Līgatne. From RIX take a taxi directly to Līgatne (~€45-€60, 45-60 minutes) or transfer to Riga city centre (via shuttle/bus/taxi, ~20 minutes) and continue by rail or bus.
