How to Get to Hranovnica
Hranovnica is a village just outside Poprad in northern Slovakia; the nearest airports are Poprad-Tatry (TAT) and Košice (KSC). The usual route is by rail or coach into Poprad and a short bus or taxi onward to Hranovnica.
Poprad-Tatry Airport (TAT): Poprad is the nearest airport to Hranovnica and offers seasonal and regional connections; by road it’s about a 20-30 minute drive. Car hire or a taxi from Poprad is the fastest onward option.
Košice International Airport (KSC): Košice is another regional gateway with more frequent flights; travel time to Hranovnica is longer (roughly 1-1.25 hours by car) but it provides more scheduled services for international travellers.
Train: Trains run to Poprad-Tatry and surrounding stations on ZSSK’s network. From Poprad you can continue by local train or bus toward Hranovnica; the rail/bus leg is short (around 15-25 minutes) and inexpensive.
