How to Get to Gurjaani
Gurjaani in Kakheti is most conveniently reached from Tbilisi by marshrutka (minibus) or private transfer; flights into Tbilisi are the standard international option. Marshrutkas are the practical, economical local transport mode for reaching Gurjaani.
Tbilisi International Airport (TBS): Tbilisi is the main gateway for Gurjaani and Kakheti. From TBS you can reach Tbilisi Didube bus station or Sighnaghi/Tbilisi marshrutka points and catch a minibus (marshrutka) to Gurjaani; road travel time is typically 1.5-2.5 hours depending on route and traffic.
Kobuleti / Kutaisi (KUT): Kutaisi is a lower-cost option for some international flights, but it is much further away; most travellers bound for Kakheti prefer Tbilisi for convenience.
Train: Georgian Railways has limited service to small Kakheti towns; Gurjaani is primarily served by road. Trains are not the usual way to reach Gurjaani from Tbilisi.
