Grenada in November: Weather, Crowds & What to Expect

St. George’s & West Coast (Grand Anse, Point Salines)

November shifts toward drier conditions as the season winds down; trade winds begin to re-establish, cooling evenings and reducing humidity. The west coast recovers quickly after storms and diving visibility improves through the month; this is a sensible time for lower-season rates with improving weather reliability. A light windbreaker for the evenings and patience for occasional late-season showers are advised.

Northern & Atlantic Coast (Levera, Sauteurs, Levera National Park)

November begins to feel much drier and the northeast trades reassert themselves, calming the Atlantic a little and making coastal walks enjoyable again. Turtle nesting activity on some Atlantic beaches often increases in late spring to summer; by November the shores are recovering and birdlife is abundant in the mangroves. A good month for field trips to Levera-carry a sun hat and light rain layer for sporadic showers.

Central Highlands & Grand Etang (Grand Etang Forest Reserve, Mount St. Catherine)

November brings markedly clearer skies as the trades re-establish; early mornings are sharp and the forest has a clean scent after the rains. Waterfalls are less dramatic than in peak wet season but still pleasant, and trails firm up for comfortable full-day treks. A warm layer for dawn, insect repellent for lower trail sections and sturdy boots will make highland hiking most enjoyable.

Carriacou & Petite Martinique (Sandy Bay, Hillsborough)

November sees the trades strengthening and humidity dropping, restoring crisp mornings and calmer seas that make boat charters more dependable. Hillsborough wakes up for a late-season bump in visitors and the island feels pleasantly uncrowded; reef visibility improves significantly. A light sweater for evenings and insect repellent for dusk walks will keep you comfortable.
