St. George’s & West Coast (Grand Anse, Point Salines)
February brings similarly dry, warm conditions and the sea is calm for boating from Point Salines. This is prime time for beach days at Grand Anse and swimming; snorkelers get clear water and good coral visibility. Crowds are still moderate-book accommodations early if you want beachfront rooms-and sunscreen and a hat are essentials for midday sun.
Northern & Atlantic Coast (Levera, Sauteurs, Levera National Park)
February is pleasantly windy with lower humidity and clear skies that highlight the coastline’s rocky coves and reef breaks; surfers occasionally find good east swells. Walks along Levera and the northern headlands are rewarding and the sea air keeps insects down, but swimming is better on protected bays. Bring sunscreen, a windbreaker and sturdy shoes for rocky beach access.
Central Highlands & Grand Etang (Grand Etang Forest Reserve, Mount St. Catherine)
February keeps the highlands cool and dry with mornings often clear and excellent visibility toward Mount St. Catherine when the trade winds are steady. Birdwatchers enjoy active tanagers and hummingbirds, and waterfalls are trickling rather than torrential-trails are easy to manage. Pack sturdy hiking boots and a thermal mid-layer for breezy ridge-top conditions.
Carriacou & Petite Martinique (Sandy Bay, Hillsborough)
February keeps the smaller islands bright and breezy with low humidity and calm seas ideal for sailing and snorkeling around Petite Martinique. Visibility for snorkeling is excellent and the shallow coral gardens are easy to reach by short boat rides from Hillsborough. Expect fewer tourists than Grenada, so book local guesthouses in advance for the limited rooms.
