How to Get to Chambarak
Chambarak is reached most easily by road from Yerevan (Zvartnots International, EVN). There are no scheduled passenger rail services serving the town - marshrutkas (shared minibuses) and private cars/taxis are the normal ways to travel.
Zvartnots International (EVN) - Yerevan: Zvartnots is the main international airport serving Armenia and the obvious arrival point for Chambarak. From Zvartnots you can reach Yerevan centre (≈20-30 min, taxi ≈3,000-6,000 AMD / €6-12) and then take a marshrutka (shared minibus) or taxi toward Chambarak. Total travel time from Yerevan to Chambarak by road is around 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic and exact route; marshrutka fares on regional routes are modest (typically ~1,000-2,000 AMD).
Erebuni (EVN alternative) / domestic flights: Erebuni is a small airfield in Yerevan used for general aviation; regular international flights use Zvartnots. There are no scheduled flights into Chambarak itself - road transfer from Yerevan remains the practical option.
Train: Armenia’s rail network does not provide practical passenger services to Chambarak - rail is not a recommended option for this route.
Bus / Marshrutka: Marshrutkas and regional buses are the standard public‑transport method. From Yerevan’s northern bus station (or other regional departure points) you can find minibuses toward Chambarak or the nearby towns; travel time about 1.5-2 hours and fares are typically a few thousand AMD (roughly €2-5). Expect simple vehicles and limited luggage space.

Chambarak is a small town where most things are within easy walking distance; walking is the simplest way to get around the centre. Short trips locally are often done on foot or by bicycle.
