How to Get to Gavar#
Gavar is typically reached from Yerevan by marshrutka or car. The town is well-connected by regional road links, and minibuses are the normal public-transport option for visitors.
Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) - Yerevan: The main international gateway for Armenia. From Yerevan, Gavar is reached by marshrutka (minibus) or bus from the central stations; the drive takes about 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic and route.
Local airfields: There are no regular commercial flights directly into Gavar; air travel to the region is routed through Yerevan.
Train: Armenia’s passenger rail network is limited and Gavar is not a major rail hub.
Bus / Marshrutka: Regular marshrutka minibuses and regional buses run from Yerevan and nearby towns to Gavar. They depart from Yerevan’s southern bus terminals and are the most common and economical way to reach the town.
