Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport (SAL): Chalchuapa is most commonly reached via San Salvador’s international airport (SAL). From San Salvador you continue by bus or private transfer to Chalchuapa; road travel time is roughly 45-75 minutes depending on traffic.
Santa Ana Airport (nearby regional): Santa Ana has smaller airfields and is close to Chalchuapa; commercial schedules are limited, so most visitors use San Salvador international services and then travel by road.
Train: El Salvador does not operate a national passenger rail network for this route; rail is not an option to Chalchuapa.
