By late February the heat begins to build and afternoons feel noticeably warmer around Siem Reap, often hitting the low 30s with dry air. This is prime time for Angkor photography because skies are mostly clear and dust levels moderate; markets and boat operators are fully functioning. Carry sunscreen and stay hydrated between temple visits - early starts are still the best way to avoid heat and crowds.
Phnom Penh, Tonle Sap Lake, Kampong Thom
A cool, dry pattern continues through February, and Phnom Penh’s riverfront feels comfortable for daytime strolls and evening markets.
