Best Time to Visit Beruwala #

Best visited December-April when the northeast monsoon keeps the southwest coast drier and seas calm for swimming. The southwest monsoon (May-Sept) brings heavy rain and rough seas.

Southwest Monsoon
May - September · 26°C to 30°C (79°F to 86°F)
Southwest monsoon drenches the coast frequently; heavy rains and rough seas limit snorkeling but plunge pools and rain-lashed landscapes are dramatic.
Intermonsoon
October - November · 27°C to 31°C (81°F to 88°F)
Unsettled intermonsoon brings sudden storms with hot, humid interludes-short dry windows make beach days possible but unpredictable, pack rain gear.
Northeast Monsoon (Dry)
December - April · 26°C to 32°C (79°F to 90°F)
Drier northeast monsoon yields sunnier, calm seas and the best stretch for swimming, boat trips, and relaxed beach time indeed.
