Local buses and private taxis run toward Takeo province; from the town or roadside parking the museum/site is a short local transfer away.

Though little more than a pair of rooms in an old house in the quaint town of Angkor Borei, the museum holds some of the oldest and finest artistic treasures in Cambodia, most of them from the pre-Angkorian Funan era. For anyone drawn to early Cambodian civilisation, the collection rewards the journey: ancient stone inscriptions here include some of the earliest known use of the Khmer language, alongside some exceptionally fine early Khmer statuary.
