Aguada on Puerto Rico's west coast is easiest reached via Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla or by driving from San Juan. Public intercity bus service is limited - a rental car or taxi is usually the most practical way to get around.

By Air

Rafael Hernández Airport, Aguadilla (BQN): The closest airport to Aguada (about 20-25 minutes by road). From BQN you can get a taxi into Aguada (roughly 20-30 minutes, typical fare ~$20-30) or rent a car at the airport - the most convenient option on the island.

Luis Muñoz Marín International, San Juan (SJU): San Juan’s airport is the major international gateway for Puerto Rico. From SJU you can either rent a car for the ~1.5-2 hour drive to Aguada (via PR‑22/PR‑2) or take intercity buses/coaches partway and then local taxi; expect a long transfer (driving ~1.5-2 hours depending on traffic).

By Train & Bus

Train: Puerto Rico does not have an intercity passenger rail network; only the Tren Urbano serves the San Juan metro area.
