How to Get to Agdz
Agdz sits on the edge of the Draa Valley and is typically reached by road from Ouarzazate or Marrakech. Overland buses and private transfers are the standard ways to arrive; roads are scenic but can be remote between towns.
Ouarzazate Airport (OZZ): The nearest commercial airport for much of Drâa-Tafilalet; driving time to Agdz is about 2-3 hours depending on route. Car rental or private transfer from Ouarzazate is the usual option to reach Agdz.
Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK): Marrakech is the main international gateway for southern Morocco. Driving from Marrakech to Agdz takes roughly 3-4 hours by road (depending on stops and route); many visitors hire a car or take organized transfers. Domestic flights land in Ouarzazate for closer access when available.
Train: Morocco’s national rail (ONCF) serves routes as far south as Marrakesh and Ouarzazate region only by road connections; there is no direct rail to Agdz.
Bus: CTM and Supratours operate coach services and many private bus companies serve southern routes; Agdz is reachable by long-distance coach from Marrakech and Ouarzazate with travel times of a few hours depending on route and stops.
