How to Get to Azilal#
Azilal is best reached overland from Marrakech or Beni Mellal by bus or grand taxi. There is no direct train service, so road transport is the reliable choice.
Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK): Marrakech is a convenient arrival point for Azilal. From Marrakech you can take CTM or other intercity buses toward Azilal; travel time is typically around 2-3 hours and fares commonly range from 40-100 MAD depending on operator and service level.
Beni Mellal Airport (BEM): Beni Mellal has a smaller airport and is closer to Azilal; from there you can continue by road (grand taxi or bus) in under 2 hours depending on connections.
Train: There is no direct passenger rail service to Azilal; the nearest mainline railheads are in Marrakech and Beni Mellal doesn’t have major rail links.
Bus / Grand Taxi: CTM and local bus services connect Azilal with Marrakech, Beni Mellal and other regional centres. Grand taxis provide flexible transfers for shorter journeys or when bus schedules are limited.

- Grand taxi (50-200 MAD) - Shared or private grand taxis are widely used for shorter regional journeys and can be faster than buses if you need a direct transfer. Shared taxis depart when full; private hire is more costly but convenient.
- Car rental (300-600 MAD/day) - Renting a car is useful for exploring the High Atlas foothills around Azilal and for flexibility with remote trails. Roads are mountainous in places-drive cautiously and allow extra time for winding routes.
