Sanur Travel Guide

Situated in the east of Bali, Sanur is a peaceful seaside town where visitors go to soak up the sun for a few hours while exploring the area.

Although there are plenty of prettier and livelier places in the area, Sanur can’t be beaten for sheer convenience as it is connected by road and ferry to many of the area’s key attractions such as tropical islands and beaches.

If you fly into Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, Sanur is a convenient place to rest and recover from jetlag. Located just a few minutes’ drive from the airport, the town sees many visitors spend the night before heading off to the nearby Offshore Islands.

Getting There & Away

Getting to Sanur is particularly easy as it is just a 20-minute drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. Those arriving at the airport can catch a bus or a taxi from the stands nearby, while buses also go to Sanur from towns and cities such as Denpasar (15 minutes). It is also possible to take a boat to Sanur from Nusa Lembongan (2 hours).
