Nusa Lembongan Travel Guide

One of Bali’s beautiful Offshore Islands, Nusa Lembongan is one of the most popular tourist attractions in this area, tempting travelers with its stunning natural beauty.

Water sports are particularly popular in this area and there are a number of great drive sites in the crystal clear waters. With plenty of colorful coral and marine life to spot, snorkeling is also a popular pastime, while others spend their time surfing and kayaking.

Beach bunnies will want to hop straight onto one of Nusa Lembongan’s beaches, where they will find plenty of powdery sand to stretch out on. Dream Beach is famous for its white sand and great surf, while Mushroom Beach is quite lively, ideal for those who want to try their hand at parasailing or take a banana boat ride.

Most people gather on Jungut Beach in the evening to witness the spectacular sunset. There are a number of restaurants and bars lining the beach, and after a busy day of exploring this island paradise visitors can relax with a glass of their favorite tipple and some freshly caught and barbecued seafood.

Accommodation on Nusa Lembongan comes in all shapes and sizes. Those with a taste for luxury can stay in a beach resort, while there are plenty of modest wooden huts to choose from for that authentic desert island feel.

Getting There & Away

Access to Nusa Lembongan is via Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. It is possible to take a short taxi or bus ride from the airport to Sanur (30 minutes). Ferries regularly run from the Sanur beach public wharf to Nusa Lembongan (90 minutes). There are also connecting ferries from the nearby islands of Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida.
