The Tomb of Khai Dinh is the imperial mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh of Vietnam, located on a hillside near the city of Huế. The complex is distinctive for its use of concrete, decorative ceramic mosaics and inlaid glass, reflecting a late imperial blend of Vietnamese and European decorative techniques.
Visitors encounter a steep approach of terraces and steps leading to an ornate mausoleum interior decorated with thousands of tiles and glass pieces that form intricate mosaics. The complex is smaller in footprint than several earlier Nguyễn dynasty tombs but is visually dense and richly ornamented.
The tomb was constructed between 1920 and 1931 and sits on a hillside roughly to the southeast of the city of Huế, within the network of Nguyễn dynasty royal tombs in the region.
