How to Get to Suárez
Suárez is a barrio in Loíza on Puerto Rico's northeast coast. Most visitors arrive via San Juan (SJU) and complete the trip overland by car, taxi or shared van.
Félix Román Meléndez (SJU not applicable): The main international gateway for eastern Puerto Rico destinations is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan; from SJU expect around 50-90 minutes driving to eastern coastal towns such as Suárez (Luquillo/Loíza area), depending on traffic.
Ceiba / Roosevelt Roads (NR/closed to regular service): Some small charter flights and private operators have used Ceiba in the past, but for scheduled arrivals use SJU or regional airports and arrange ground transfers.
Train: Puerto Rico does not have intercity passenger rail connections to Loíza or Suárez.
Bus: Local public buses and shared vans operate in the San Juan-Loíza-Luquillo corridor; municipal buses and occasional intercity stops will get you to Loíza/Suárez but allow extra time for transfers and infrequent service.
